Are you confused with Semantic SEO term?
Then you are in the right place, here I will be talking about it with complete details.
So, sit tight and get ready to know everything about the Semantic SEO.
I know most of you may be wondering what is this and what is its use, and how can I use it?
In this blog post I try to go through all your doubts.
What Is Semantic SEO?
It is a technique of writing search engine optimized content about topics, not about just a single Keywords.
What Is The Importance Of Semantic SEO?
A few years Google used to know about page topics by the keywords available in the blog post.
Suppose you published an article on “Weight Loss”, and the Weight Lose is repeating again and again on the same page. This makes Google Understand about your main keyword.
In 2013, Google launched Hummingbird Algorithm, and it brought major changes in Google Algorithm.
After that instead of looking at the keywords they read and understand all over the page topic.
Before Hummingbird Algorithm came into existence, if you are searching for the weight loss, then Google was showing the page having the exact match phrase.
But after Hummingbird Algorithm launch,
Google still goes with the keywords, but hummingbird helps to scan the pages that cover all the topics related to “Weight Lose”.
And finally it displays the best result available on the web.
Practices To Perform
Publish Topic Relevant Content
You may be thinking what is Topic Relevant content and how it helps in SEO?
Topic Relevant content is a new way of publishing content that includes content that covers the entire topic about that in-depth.
For example, If you are publishing an article on “Eye Health”, then you must be covering each and everything about the eye.
There may be a few people who would write 2-3 longer articles about the eye, and they are done.
But, instead of writing 2-3 content if you are publishing a complete guide about eye then there is a chance you will get a higher ranking than the person who published only 2-3 contents.
And in the 2020 article which are providing complete details anything, only those are coming into the ranking.
If you are maintaining it continuously then there is no way that you can’t get a better ranking.
Make Topic Outline
If you are ready to publish content that is Topic Relevant content, then the creation of a content outline is the highly recommended thing.
Outline means you are making a list of things how you will be writing and what you will write.
And make it easy to write in-depth and Google Love that.
There are 2 benefits of publishing topic relevant post.
First, it makes it easier for the readers to go through the content, and they get all the information about that topic.
Secondly, Google loves this type of content a lot. Because it is full of genuine information.
Answer “People Also Ask”
If you are searching for any keyword on Google. You might have noticed that Google has a section of “People Also Ask”.
You find it in almost all the keywords.
By showing this box Google lets you know that these are the hot questions that people are getting mad about this topic.
And when you answer these questions in your content, this will not help you only for the target keyword. But your content can also be displayed in these boxes.
You can answer these questions directly and can get no-follow links, or cover it in your blog articles.
Use Multiple Keywords In The Same Page
In the back days, people used to create 2 different pages by making some spelling changes in the keywords, to gain #1 position in the SERP.
For example, if you published an optimized article on “Litti recipes”. And another on “Litti recipe”
It worked well for sometime.
But after the launching of Panda and Hummingbird, these things don’t make any sense. Because now google understand it very well between both the topics.
Because now Google now shows only identical results for variations of the same keywords.
So if you want to target various similar keywords do it on the same page. And optimize the single post with multiple keywords.
Publish Longer Articles
If you are so serious to optimize content according to “Semantic SEO” then you must go with the long-form articles.
Longer content means article should be of 1,0000, 2,000, 4,000 words.
But doesn’t mean that for writing longer articles just talking stupid things about that.
As you should know that it is just impossible to cover the entire topic in the 500 words article.
It all depends on topics, you are writing, and you must require at least thousands of words to cover any simple or tough topic.
Don’t fear from publishing longer articles because it has 2 benefits.
- First is that Google loves longer articles
- Second is it is very useful in SEO
- The third is that it helps the user to get complete information about that.
In the Off-Page SEO article also I have talked about the Longer articles.
Write Conversational Articles
You must know that voice search is increasing at a high rate.
And voice searches are conversational so, try to optimize like that.
As it is done by robots, means it doesn’t mean that you have to publish content like a robot.
Try to use only the natural language in your articles. It helps in SEO and optimizing content growth.
Structured Data or Schema is also a very useful technique of ranking any keyword.
Schema is useful for Google to know about your content. So if google understands your content there is a chance that it will display to those people who are exactly looking for it.
In addition, to get more CTR Rich snippets will be much more helpful.
